Bulenox Activation Fee: What It Costs and Which Accounts Skip It

The Bulenox activation fee is a one-time charge you pay after you pass a Qualification account, to switch on the Master Account that actually trades. It runs from $143 on a $25,000 account to $498 on a $150,000 one. It is not a subscription, and it does not apply to every Bulenox product: Fast Track and Momentum accounts carry no activation fee at all.

That second point is where the money is. The fee is not hidden, but it sits one step past the price on the plan card, which is the step most people budget for. You pass the qualification, you go to claim the funded account, and there is another invoice waiting.

How much is the Bulenox activation fee?

Bulenox runs two risk models, Option 1 (trailing, intraday) and Option 2 (end of day), and the Qualification product is priced identically on both. The activation fee scales with account size, and it scales faster than the account price does.

Account sizeQualification priceActivation feeTotal to funded
$25,000$145$143$288
$50,000$175$148$323
$100,000$215$248$463
$150,000$325$498$823

Look at the shape rather than the individual numbers. At $25,000 the activation fee is roughly the price of the challenge over again. By $150,000 it is about one and a half times the challenge price, $325 to buy in and $498 to switch on. If you budgeted only the plan-card price on a $150,000 Option 1 Qualification account, you are $498 short at the exact moment you earned the funded account.

Which Bulenox accounts charge no activation fee?

Two of the three product lines charge nothing to activate.

Momentum activation fee

Momentum says it plainly. Bulenox describes the Momentum Master stage as "activated free of charge as soon as your Momentum account is approved. No activation fee, no monthly fee." Fast Track is sold as a funded account from day one, so there is no qualification stage to graduate out of and nothing to activate. Our pricing data records a $0 activation fee on both lines, across all four account sizes and both risk models.

Every Bulenox program in our database also carries a $0 monthly fee. The account price is a one-time payment, described by the firm as "paid once and expires automatically at the end of its access period, no renewal and no recurring charge."

When you pay it, and what happens next

Where the activation fee falls on a Bulenox Qualification account
  1. Buy the Qualification account

A one-time payment including 30 days of access. No monthly fee, and nothing to cancel.

  2. Pass inside the access window

Bulenox states there is no minimum trading day requirement to pass the Qualification account, so the 30-day window is the binding constraint rather than a day count.

  3. Pay the activation fee

A one-time charge set by the size you passed, from $143 on a $25,000 account to $498 on a $150,000 one.

  4. Trade the Master Account

The funded stage. On Option 1 Qualification that means a 90% split, ten minimum trading days, a 40% best-day consistency rule and a $1,000 minimum withdrawal.

The ordering matters for planning. You never pay the activation fee on an account you failed, because the only way to reach it is by passing. That makes it a success cost rather than a risk cost, which is a genuinely fair way to price it. It also means the fee arrives at your worst moment for cash flow, after 30 days of screen time and before a single payout.

What the activation fee actually buys

The Master Account is not the qualification account with a new label on it. On the Option 1 Qualification Master Account the trailing drawdown behaves differently: Bulenox states that "the trailing drawdown stops moving once it reaches your starting balance + $100. From that point, it becomes permanently fixed." That single change is most of what you are paying for. A floor that stops chasing you is worth more than a floor that follows every new high.

Our payout data for the Option 1 Qualification Master Account records a 90% trader split with the first $10,000 of profit paid in full, a $1,000 minimum withdrawal, and payouts processed on a weekly Wednesday cycle whose window closes at 23:59 America/Chicago. Requests are capped per size for the first three payouts, at $1,000 on $25,000, $1,500 on $50,000, $1,750 on $100,000 and $2,000 on $150,000. After the third payout, Bulenox states there is no maximum.

The funded stage also introduces gates the qualification stage does not have. On Option 1 Qualification the Master Account carries a ten-day minimum and a 40% best-day consistency rule, where the qualification stage itself is published with a minimum of none. Paying the activation fee moves you into a stricter rulebook, not a looser one.

The real cost of a funded Bulenox account

The number worth comparing is not the activation fee on its own. It is the total you spend to reach a funded account on each product.

Qualification totals combine the account price and the activation fee. Fast Track and Momentum carry no activation fee. Verified against the Proplysis firm database, 2026-08-21.

On totals alone Momentum wins at every size, and it is not close. A funded $100,000 Momentum account costs $248 against $463 through Qualification and $648 through Fast Track.

Cheaper is not automatically better, and the differences sit in the payout conditions rather than the price. Momentum asks for five qualifying profitable days per payout cycle and applies a 35% best-day consistency cap. Fast Track unlocks payouts on a profit goal instead of a day count, with a consistency cap that starts at 30% and changes by payout number. Qualification asks for ten days and 40%. Pick the product whose payout conditions you can actually satisfy, then let the activation fee be a line item in that decision rather than the decision itself.

Is the Bulenox activation fee refundable or recurring?

It is charged once. There is no monthly component to it, and no Bulenox program in our data carries a monthly account fee. What it is not is refundable, and neither is anything else once the account has been used.

The $78 reset is the charge most often mistaken for a second activation fee. It is neither. A reset restores a Qualification account's starting balance and clears your previous profits, losses and trading days, and Bulenox is explicit that it "does not extend your 30-day access period." Reset late in the window and you are buying a balance you may not have time to trade.

Other Bulenox charges people confuse with the activation fee

Bulenox charges split into one-time items including the activation fee, and monthly items
Only one of the three extra charges is one-time.

Three other charges appear in Bulenox's published material, and only one of them is a single payment.

Connecting to Rithmic through a third-party API or trader composite software carries "a $100 monthly fee", which matters if you run a copier, an algorithm or a bot. Bulenox permits all three for personal use. Professional traders owe an exchange data fee for CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX, and Bulenox publishes two different figures for it in two places, $116 per month on the pricing page against $112 per exchange in its connection article. That is a contradiction in the firm's own copy and worth a support ticket before you assume which one applies to you. The reset, at $78, is the only one-time item of the three.

None of these is the activation fee, and none of them replaces it. Budget for them separately.

Keeping track of it across accounts

Bulenox lets a trader hold up to five Master-level accounts, all activatable immediately. Five activations at $248 on $100,000 accounts is $1,240 spent before a single payout, and the standing on those five accounts lives in five separate places.

Proplysis pulls trade data from connected accounts and shows the rule standing for all of them in one dashboard, and it warns you as you approach the drawdown floor and the daily loss limit before you breach. It is free, and it is paid for by affiliate commissions rather than by charging you. The Bulenox firm profile carries the current per-size pricing, activation fees and rules for all six programs, kept in step with the firm's live site. If you want to model what a 90% split actually pays across account sizes, the prop-firm income calculator does that arithmetic.

If you are buying a Bulenox account anyway, buying through Proplysis's Bulenox link costs you nothing extra and gets you the dashboard for free.

FAQ

Does every Bulenox account have an activation fee?

No. The activation fee applies to the Qualification product on both risk models, Option 1 and Option 2. Fast Track and Momentum accounts are recorded in our pricing data at $0 activation across all four account sizes, and Bulenox describes the Momentum Master stage as activated free of charge.

How much is the Bulenox activation fee on a $100,000 account?

On the $100,000 Qualification account it is $248, on top of the $215 account price, for a total of $463 to reach a funded Master Account. On a $100,000 Fast Track or Momentum account there is no activation fee.

Is the Bulenox activation fee monthly?

No. It is a one-time charge for the Master Account. Every Bulenox program in our data carries a $0 monthly fee, and the account price itself is described as a one-time payment that expires at the end of its access period with no renewal.

Do you pay the Bulenox activation fee before or after you pass?

After. You buy the Qualification account, pass it inside the 30-day access window, and then pay the activation fee to switch on the Master Account. If you never pass, you never pay it.

Can you avoid the Bulenox activation fee entirely?

Yes, by choosing Momentum or Fast Track instead of Qualification. Both are priced with no activation fee. The trade-off sits in their payout conditions rather than their price. Momentum asks for five qualifying profitable days per payout cycle at a 35% consistency cap, and Fast Track ties payouts to a profit goal with a consistency cap that starts at 30% and changes by payout number.
